Microsoft Zune: The iPod Killer?

The Zune is coming soon. November 14 to be exact. It’s Microsoft’s dip into the mp3 player pool, going head to head with the iPod 30 gb price-wise and up a little notch with the addition of wi-fi.

It looks pretty neat in the picture. And the big screen is awesome. I'm lovin' it. But is it just me or does it resemble Steve Jobs’ iPod?

I don't know where the hell Zune got it's name. It's got an equally weird pre-rpoduction codename: Argo. Sounds, uhm, Lord of the Rings to me. The Zune is manufactured for Microsoft by Toshiba, as revealed by their registration with the US FCC.

The good things about the Zune is its obviously bigger screen (3 inches), the wi-fi which allows Zune devices to pair up with other Zunes and share music (and photos and playlists) for a limited time(after which the sharer can put it up for sale in the Zune Marketplace), and built-in FM radio. It's available in white, black, and brown. Neat no?
